Terms &
Conditions
Last updated: 5 July 2026
01About these terms
These terms govern your use of the Dub Media website, its tools and (when available) the members area. By using the site you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site. Dub Media is an independent creative agency based in the United Kingdom; contact us at edd.unwin@dubmedia.co.uk.
02Using the site
You agree to use the site lawfully and not to misuse it, including not attempting to gain unauthorised access, disrupt the service, scrape it at scale, upload anything harmful, or infringe anyone's rights. The free tools (such as The Brainstorm and the Quick Brief) can be used without an account.
03Accounts
When the members area launches, you may create an account. You are responsible for the accuracy of your details, for keeping your login secure, and for activity under your account. We may suspend or remove accounts that breach these terms. Accounts are for the registered person or business and should not be shared.
04Your content and collaboration
You keep ownership of the content you submit, such as briefs, scripts, comments and files. You grant us the licence we need to host, display and process it in order to provide the service and collaborate with you. You are responsible for having the rights to anything you upload, and for ensuring it does not break the law or infringe third-party rights (including music, image and clearance rights).
05Our intellectual property
The website, its design, branding, tools and content are owned by Dub Media or our licensors and are protected by intellectual-property law. Work we deliver to a client is covered by the separate agreement for that project, not by these site terms.
06Tools, clearance and third parties
Our tools help you prepare work, for example formatting a script or capturing rights details, but they do not themselves grant licences or clear advertising. Any clearance (such as Radiocentre) and any music or other rights remain your responsibility and must be completed with the relevant body. The site relies on third-party services (such as hosting and accounts) whose own terms also apply.
07Availability and disclaimers
We work hard to keep the site running but provide it "as is" and "as available". We do not guarantee it will be uninterrupted, error-free or fit for a particular purpose, and any guidance in the tools is provided for convenience, not as legal advice.
08Liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law (such as for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud). Subject to that, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, data or goodwill, and our total liability arising from your use of the site is limited to the extent permitted by law.
09Termination
You can stop using the site at any time. We may suspend or end access if you breach these terms or where we need to for legal or security reasons.
10Governing law and changes
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. We may update these terms from time to time; the "last updated" date shows the current version, and continued use means you accept the changes.
11The network agreement
The members area exists to connect clients with the Dub Media collective, through Dub Media. By creating an account you agree to the following, whether you join as a creator or as a client:
Introductions belong to the network. If you meet, discover or are matched with a client or a creator through Dub Media (including through profiles, showcases, projects, comments or any other feature of the members area), any work between you arising from that introduction goes through Dub Media. You agree not to solicit, accept or commission that work directly, or through another company, in a way that cuts Dub Media out.
The window. This applies while you hold an account and for 12 months after the later of: your account closing, or the end of the last project connecting you and the other party.
Going direct has a price. If you want to take a relationship made through the network outside it, talk to us; direct arrangements are possible by written agreement, and typically involve a buy-out fee reflecting the value of the introduction. Engaging directly without that written agreement is a breach of these terms, and you agree that Dub Media may invoice an introduction fee equal to 25 percent of the fees paid or payable for the work in the first 12 months of the direct engagement, as a genuine pre-estimate of our loss.
Tell us. If someone approaches you to go around the network, you agree to let us know. Accounts used to poach or leak work off the platform may be suspended or removed under section 03.
Public links on profiles (websites, showreels, social channels) are there so members can show their work. They do not change the rules above.
12House rules for the members area
The Green Room, comments and every other social feature exist for professional conversation between members of the network. By posting you agree to these rules:
Respect is non-negotiable. No abuse, harassment, bullying or personal attacks. No racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, ableism or discrimination of any kind. No hate speech, no threats. One strike is enough for removal.
Keep it professional. Conversations should relate to the work: the industry, the craft, projects, questions, wins and useful links. This is a studio, not a general-purpose social network.
Share, do not spam. Links to interesting work, articles and resources are welcome. Shameless self-promotion is not: your Showcase is the place to sell yourself, and posting is rate-limited to keep the feed worth reading. Repeated advertising, recruitment spam or off-platform solicitation (see the network agreement above) will be removed.
Respect confidences. Do not post client work, briefs, budgets or anything else confidential without permission.
We moderate. Dub Media may hide or remove any content and suspend or remove any account that breaks these rules, at our judgement, without notice. If you see something that crosses a line, tell us at edd.unwin@dubmedia.co.uk.
