WE BUILD BRANDS WITH A BACKBONE.
A logo is not a brand. It is the badge on the front of one. We build the backbone underneath: a position you can defend, a name people repeat, a voice, a system, and the rules that stop it drifting. Then we make it look like nobody else. Built to scale, and built to survive the tenth person who touches it.
What we do
The whole identity, made by senior hands and built to hold up everywhere it lands. Strategy, name, voice, mark, system, rules. Not a logo emailed over as a JPEG and left for you to figure out.
Strategy & positioning
Who you are, who you are for, and the reason to pick you over the one down the road. We interrogate the business, the category and the customer, then write a position sharp enough to say no with.
Naming & voice
A name worth owning, sense checked against the domain, the handles and the register before you fall for it. Then a tone of voice with rules, examples and a written vocabulary, so every new hire sounds like you.
Identity & logo
A mark with an idea in it, not a trend with a gradient on it. Drawn, spaced and tested at favicon size and at fifty feet, in one colour, embroidered, and on the worst screen you own.
Brand systems
Colour, type, grid, photography, motion and iconography, built as a kit with rules. Proper type licences, hex and Pantone, accessible contrast, and templates for the decks and posts you actually make every week.
Guidelines
Written so a junior marketer, a printer and a new agency all get it right without ringing us. Do this, never that, with real examples. Delivered as a working document, plus every file you need, owned outright by you.
Rollout
Stationery, signage, vehicle livery, packaging, uniforms, decks, site and social. We take the identity out into the real world, art direct the suppliers and check the proofs, because a brand dies at the print shop.
How we work
It starts with a proper interrogation. We sit with you, your people and, where it helps, your customers, and we ask the questions nobody in the building wants to answer. Then we come back with one route, not six, and the reasoning behind it. You push back, we sharpen it. Design follows the thinking, never the other way round. You leave with the strategy, the system, the files and the licences, all yours.
Common questions
- How much does a rebrand cost?
- It depends on scope, and anyone quoting before they know yours is guessing. A name and a mark for a new venture is a different job to repositioning an established business and resigning a fleet of vans. We quote in stages, so you can stop after strategy if the thinking is all you needed. If a tidy up will do, we will say so.
- How long does a rebrand take?
- Weeks, not days, and the honest answer is that most of the delay is your side. Strategy and naming need the decision makers in one room. Trademark and domain checks take as long as they take. Rollout depends on your suppliers and print lead times. We give you a dated plan up front and hold to it.
- Do we need a full rebrand or just a refresh?
- Most businesses who ask us for a rebrand need a refresh. If people already know your mark, changing it burns recognition you have paid for. Rebrand when the business has genuinely changed, when the name blocks growth, or when the brand is actively dragging you down. Otherwise we sharpen the position, fix the system and leave the equity alone.
- Do we own the logo, and can we trademark it?
- Yes. On final payment we assign the copyright to you in writing, and you get the working files, not just flat exports. Two honest catches. Typefaces are licensed, not owned, so the licence is bought in your name and renewed by you. And we sense check names against the register, but registering a trade mark is an attorney's job, and we will tell you when to call one.
